"On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me - 6 geese a-laying ... "

Have you ever read or watched "The Hithchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"? Or, have you ever done the math for the 12 Days of Christmas? I've done the first - read and watched THGTTG. But, until now, I haven't really done the math on the 12 Days of Christmas, and it kind of freaks me out.

Here's some of the math - 1 partridge for 12 days = 12 partridges. 2 turtle doves for 11 days = 22 turtle doves. Fast forward to day 6 - 6 geese for 7 days = 42 geese. For those of you familiar with "The HItchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", you know that 42 is THE answer - to Life, the Universe and Everything.

Sixth day - 6 days. On the sixth day of Creation - God created man, and then rested. It was complete, On the sixth day of the Jewish week, Jesus was crucified. It was finished.

For me, the answer to life, the universe and everything is a person - Jesus, the Christ. Starting with Christmas and continuing through Lent to Easter and the resurrection.
