Just last night, I made the final changes to move Christian Web Resources to its proper domain and now you'll find us at www.ChristianWebResources.net. The old domain is forwarding you here, so your bookmarks will still work and links in search engine results will get you the information you seek.

The site started as Christian XOOPS Resources in 2007 and then became Christian Web Resources in 2008, realizing our mission was independent of the platform. We still hope to educate, equip, enable, encourage and empower people with a passion for Christ and provide them with resources for use in their ministries.

The actual move was quite simple, since the site is still hosted on the same server at MediaTemple.net and under the same account. After adding the new domain to the account, I was able to copy the files from one to the other, export the database and make a few substitutions in it before importing into its new database. I had to adjust the path information in 3 config files on the server and then everything was ready to go. Since there is only 1 email account on the domain, I didn't have to worry about migrating everyone's email settings and inboxes, something you may have to deal with if you make a similar move.

By far, the longest part of the migration is updating all my bookmarks, email signatures, forum signatures and related sites I've posted information for Christian Web Resources.
